I know thousands of people are stranded at the KLIA yesterday and about 17,000 flights have been canceled due to the havoc caused by the ash from the eruption of a volcano in Iceland. The volcano, located under the Eyjafjallajokull (pronounced as ay-yah-fyah'-plah-yer-kul-duhl) glacier in Iceland which began erupting on Wednesday had its ashes spread across almost half of Europe. Reports were saying that it'll take some time for the ash to clear. Read here.
I have friends whom are stranded there too and I wish them well, hoping things will be better in these few days so that they can fly back asap. The hotels must be making a big buck out of this situation but I pity the passengers whom were stuck. What if they don't have enough money? I couldn't imagine if I was the one stranded in Europe, what would I do. Well, if I happened to be on a biz trip, I would be delighted as it gives me time to explore the place for a few more days! Haha...
On a lighter note, I can imagine the difficulty for reporters to pronounce the word Eyjafjallajokull. Lol... In a simpler way, just call it "aiyah flyer play your cool - duh!"
