Other money making means...

One year ago when I bought this box of 12 Trinidad Reyes, it was only DHS250 (RM250) in Dubai and today it's DHS270! Habanos S.A has really increased its prices (as warned by my friend a month ago). He had told me to stock up my cigars as prices are going up by 10%. Gosh, it's really an expensive affair that I have with the wonder Cuban sticks.

In the KL cigar shops, this box can cost up to RM700 a box! Imagine the amount of money that I could make by just selling a box of this! Maybe I should invest in cigars in view of the rising prices every year.

Apart from that, I was tempted to invest in the 2008 vintage of some en primeur (first growths) of Bordeaux. Robert Parker has just rated the 2008 Bordeaux and Petrus appeared as the top followed by Lafite, Latour, Margaux, Mouton and so on. A bottle of this vintage might cost around RM800 now but who knows what price it will fetch in years to come?

According to my friends, the 2008 bottles will not be delievered to you until 18 months later and you can only get them from the wine merchants whom have been given an allocation by the Chateaus. Sounds complicated? Yes. That's why most of the rich don't bother in investing the wines. They just buy them as to where and when they want to drink it! And thus, there's a market for old wines!

Perhaps investing in wines and cigars is another means of making money?
