A new place, a new friend found.
It was just a casual text from a friend's friend whom I met weeks ago at Delicious Duo Residency and I asked him why not have a drink at Bangsar today just before my dinner @Prime? And then we both agreed to meet up at Alexis @ Bangsar Shopping Centre.
Tucked in the corner of the 1st floor of BSC, one cannot miss this place because it has a very nice black & white themed design from tiles to fixtures. I have been to Alexis at Jalan Telawi and Great Eastern Mall but not this particular outlet. Even my last visit to Alexis was of the yesteryear and God knows when was that.
I didn't order any food from the menu but I did see that they have a wide range of dishes from salads to main courses. I was more interested in their drinks menu. And since I've always been drinking barrels of wines and whisky with my usual suspects, I decided to get a glass of Margarita. Something which I don't drink often.
Then the waiter asked me, "Frozen or stirred?"
I swear that in a spilt second I thought I was in a Bond movie having my "medium dry martini, lemon peel. Shaken, not stirred." I then asked him what's the difference. It turns out that frozen margarita comes with blended ice and the other is without it.
Alexis do carry an extensive list of whites and reds. I was impressed that they do have Chateau Latour in the list but with a price tag of RM2000++. Heheh... As for Champagne, I can only spot a Bollinger Cuvee, a Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial and probably another bottle of I-can't-see-cos-the-label-is-too-small.
The ambience was good and the place is really cosy. They do have a smoking area too. For more pictures and food review of this place, you can check it out at Mouthwatering Food.
