Of Chocolates & Friends

I'm still trying to clear the backlogs. I HAD been really busy in December because that was the first time Fidani had a promotion at Bangsar Village. It was Xmas time and I thought it'll be a good location to bring awareness to the brand. The crowd at Bangsar Village is just the target market I'm looking at. It was not easy to secure a space there as according to my sources, the Xmas bazaar can make big bucks. Being my first time, I didn't have much expectations but I just want to make sure at least the sales can cover the costs. The rental of the space is not cheap mind you. Fidani is given quite a strategic location, just in front of Village Grocer and also Loccitane's counter.

The deco is very minimal because seriously I have not been making much preparation due to my hectic schedule. Cuffz won the best booth decoration but then again, they hired an expert to do it so nothing commendable. Our highlight of the booth was the chiller and the chocolate fountain because we allow the customers to dip for free! However, the chocolate fountain is difficult to maintain and I always have problems with it and I decided to forgo it after a few days.

To cut the story short, I've had fun. Although it's a big commitment as I need to be there from 10am to 1pm every weekday, I even worked through public holidays and also weekends just to make sure everything is in order. My promoters have been good helpers, namely my sis and her friends. One customer called it nepotism. Yup I am and I am proud that I practice it because I need her to guard my money. I think it's call intelligism and not nepotism! We made friends with our next door, the Cuffz people, that's what we called them! Their bosses are pretty nice people too because ahem.. ahem.. they gave us free cuff links and money clips. From there, we were also in the midst of establishing a partnership between my parent company and them but sorry can't reveal the details. That is why they called me an opportunist.

Yiling's Birthday

I held a surprise party for her at the booth after we close at 10pm. Haha this is definitely our first time celebrating the birthday at Bangsar Village after everyone else has left! Lucky the security officers didn't give us any problem.

Cuffz + Fidani = Gay

This is Param with the teddy bear. Then he had a kising partner, Leon. That also not enough because he went on to have a threesome together with the teddy bear. I was just kidding, they're not gay. It looks real, ain't it? I know someone is going to kill me for this!
Anyways, him sitting there tied with the chocolate together with the bear had generated many smiles from passerby but then still no one buying the gigantic teddy bear.

Fidani & Cuffz gang

We decide to go all green in support of earth Christmas Eve

We do have time to make funny faces and cam whore all the time.

After weeks of hanging around at Bangsar Village, I kinda missed the times there. Despite being sick of Chatterbox and Devi's Corner Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken, I missed my friends. Life has to go back to the normal routine at the office. My pocket had also been lighter because I spent quite a bit on food and giving them a treat (this is what bosses must do!) but it's okay, as long as everyone is happy.

Overall, I think it's quite a good publicity for Fidani as some of the customers who bought them have never heard of the brand before. I certainly hope they like it. I have had customers who ordered 200-300 boxes from there after they tried the chocolate. To top it all, one of the bosses of a well-known lawyer firm liked our chocolates so much that she placed an order of 200 boxes every month for the whole of 2008 for the company's 10th anniversary! Looks like I began to like Bangsar. Mwahs...
