Thursday @ Bar Celona

I was feeling so stressed up that I needed loud blaring music and alcohol to bring me back my sanity. I called Greg and great we're heading to Bar Celona at Sunway Pyramid New Wing. It was just a newly opened bar and club, side by side and the best thing was - it was near my house. I hate driving all the way to KL just to club.

Don't ask me about the prices of drinks there cos I really have no idea. It was my 2nd time there and every Thursday is Ladies Nite and ladies get complimentary drinks up to 11pm. The bonus is, if you go in a group of 5 ladies, you get this bottle of lousy vodka free! Ooh I forgot to mention that the complimentary drink (ribena-vodka) has no alcohol taste at all. Either I am an alcoholic or they really stinge on vodka.

Greg has a group of ex-colleagues there from HSBC and I'm a complete stranger. I don't care, I'll just there for the music and knowing a few more strangers won't hurt especially when I try to sell them my chocolates! Next time, I'll probably bring along my chocolate cigar so I have something to munch on when I drink and also to fool others about my cigar smoking habit. Then, I'll put the cigars into the COHIBA metal case and no one knows it's a chocolate. They'll be thinking that I'm smoking a hundred bucks cigar. Cool. How come my boss so smart to think of making chocolate cigar hor?!! Must be his penchant for the Cuban Cuesta-Rey, Montecristo, Macanudo and Romeo Y Julieta cigars.

The music at Bar Celona was nice because I like R&B. The DJ is spinning R&B on Thurs and the crowd usually comes in about 11pm. For guys, there'll be a cover charge after 10pm on Thurs but I'm not sure about the other days. Sometimes they might not charge also so it depends on your luck. If you come with a car, it's best that you park your car near the bar at the valet parking beside the new wing. It's RM6 before 10pm and after that it's RM10.

The crowd is a mixture of young and old. Not too many youngsters ahem..ahem... like below 21 la. Most of them are like 23-30 years old and they are also 30+ people there. The other day we were sited at the main entrance where we can see who comes in and who goes out. That means we get to check people out and sometimes I wonder whether could someone out there please tell the guys that the "la-la" look is out! That applies to the girls too. They tend to look trashy rather than flashy. No offense against them but I pity their fashion sense because in this society, you are what you wear. No one will give you the opportunity to explain yourself for the 1st impression. But then again, I wouldn't want everyone else to look like me and follow my style so colour is good. Time to paint the town.

The overall club was nice and okay but not my perfect kinda hang out place. Greg introduced one of his "handsome" guy friends to me that night but I have a slight problem with him - his ego and his show offs. I can sense the littlest bit of show off and it turns me off. Guys might think that it's the wisest thing to show the girls what you've got but it's not sexy. It is for materialistic females but if she has what you've got, then it's a slap in the face. So, what's sexy? Sexy for me is being a gentleman (open doors - pls), show interest in what I say (girls always get the say), be unpredictable (like order something that I have not tried - but not trying to make me drunk), make intelligent conversation (talk politics to me), appreciate my intelligence (of course) and kiss me goodbye only if I want to be kissed! Oh that guy - he left without a bye. So rude!
