Gossip-lah! What else?!!
Initially it was heart wrenching to know that Jasmin is coming down to KL to look for me when I need to go down to Ipoh for the weekend. It's such a coincidence that we both want to meet each other and yet we couldn't. However....during the last minute when I was at the cemetery, she sent me a sms saying that she is in Penang for shopping and would be back that night to meet up with me. It was a brillllliiiiant idea because it has been more than half a year since I last saw this good friend of mine.
She's the only one from MGS Ipoh that I have kept in touch with and is still very close to each other. We go a long way back. We fought, we refused to talk to each other and then we befriended each other back. Typical young girls. Then we wrote letters to each other even we could see each other at the school everyday. She just love to send letters in cute envelopes and writting pads. Then, the virus spread to me and I started buying those cutie letter pads and envelopes. Until today, I still keep every single of her letters and postcards. In fact I've never thrown away any letters from my friends. It was fun when she was studying in UM last year where we get lots of chance to see each other. We used to drive to Mont Kiara on Sunday mornings for breakfast and then went strolling at the Flea market. Now I really miss all of it.
There were so many things to share between me and her because we share many similarities.
I can still go on but I think I better stop the list here or it'll never stop. So when we went out together the other night at Friends Cafe, it felt so good seeing each other again. We had so much to talk about and of course keeping abreast who's with who and who's doing what. We have so many friends who's studying medicine and pharmacy! I keep feeling how useless I am to be in the marketing line when next time all my friends have the additional two letters (DR) in front of their names. We also have a friend whom now works as an air stewardess in SIA. wah, quite cool eh. Jasmin has just completed her studies in environmental science. Enviro...what? That's my first expression when she told me last time. It's really a pity to see such a beautiful and cheerful girl like her to be stuck with mother nature jobs. She's so bubbly and she loves to dress up. She would have been in a fashion industry if not thanks to the government offering her that course in UM. Now don't get me started on the government thingy again. I have enough of them for the past one month and more is coming. I will need to unleash my political side again in my coming posts.
The worse thing is not only that. Since it's supposed to be environmental friendly, her office does not have air-conditions. What?!! Siao ah? In this weather how can?!! She sighed on how much she wanted to wear suits and jackets to work. Poor thing. She's soon going to continue her Masters in Environmental Science and I wish her luck (not in a sarcastic way).
We left at midnight. It was really nice to see her again now that she has a DR boyfriend! She used to complain that no one is going after her and now her wish is answered. What's with my friends and doctors?!! I'm not jealous...ceh.
