Company Annual Dinner

It's another backdated entry. To cut it short, I was at the DR Group (my parent company) annual dinner last Friday 7th at Sheraton Hotel Subang Jaya. I was also asked to perform on my Gu-Zheng and due to last minute-ness, I will just play three songs. The clip below is the rehearsal I had earlier in the afternoon before the dinner. I'm playing the chinese classical piece called "Combat of the Typhoon" where the typhoon hit the village and everything was torn down.

The funny thing was that everything was fine in the afternoon and when I was performing at night during the song "Memory" by CATS, the 2nd string broke. I couldn't continue and had to take the Gu-Zheng down to fix the string. I felt it was quite embarrassing. This wasn't my first time performing and I haven't had this experience before. It was a good experience though because I didn't see it coming. So, I fix the string and get back on stage and play the next song. Everyone was wondering why Memory was so short?!! Haha..and some didn't even know that the string was broken.
