What a catchy name for an eatery and it's noodles is unforgettable too. Let's Rock when translated to Cantonese, simply means "Tai Ka Lok" and they specialises in homemade "Yong Tau Fu" or "liew". These are the food items that are stuffed with fish paste and they are a hit among people in Ipoh. The city is really filled with good "Yong Tau Fu" places and they are not difficult to come by.
While their "liew" is not exactly the best in the city, there are two things that remains unforgettable for me. It's their noodles (particularly "dry Hor Fun") and the fishballs. There's something special about the taste of their dry flat rice noodles which I suspect that it's a secret. So I asked the owner, and true enough, it is a secret! Hmmph...
The sauce used for the noodles is indeed very good. It has a very distinctive and unique taste which you won't get with other stalls. I grew up with this taste and it had been a perpectual weekend breakfast for me while I was staying in Ipoh.
My sisters love this stall too and Yiling even said that "Tt's so recognizable that if you were to blindfold me, I would still managed to tell you which is tai kah lok's hor fun kon lo".

The ordering process is pretty simple. Go to the stall, pick up a pair of spatula and pick the stuff that you want into a bowl. After that, they will prepare your choice of noodles and bring over the "liew" together! Better don't hand me that spatula or else my hand will never stop picking.
The pork balls here are tender, and it's not the springy type unlike what I've eaten at Sun Tuck Kee for dinner. But like I said, their best dish is still the fishballs and noodles. The fishballs are so smooth, just like the way I like it to be. I also like the beancurd in Ipoh because they are unbelievably smooth and silky too!
And the other thing that you can't run away from is...
the super fat beansprouts! Isn't it cute and looked so juicy?!! It is! I can never have enough and thus, it's always a big portion for me when I order my noodles at this outlet.
So, let's rock at Tai Ka Lok!
