I have previously written about this lounge during my visit to the lounge during the sneak peek and also official opening in 2008. However, at that time, the pictures were all taken with my reliable Samsung mobile. This time, since I am going for a food review in the evening, I brought along the Sony Alpha with me to KLIA. I have a few hours to kill after the meeting at the airport so I decided to hang out at the MAS Regional Lounge located at the Contact Pier (situated right beside the trains). There's an escalator beside 1901 Hotdogs that lead you to the lounge.
Basically this lounge is for passengers boarding from the Main Terminal Building at Contact Pier.
The lounge is designed with the "Rimbun" concept in mind utilising all the elements of water, plants, earth, wood and sand. The fixtures are all in wood with very tasteful fern designed glass partitions. The passengers are greeted with a water front when entering the lounge. The lounge is bright and has good views of the aircraft parking areas.

The main feature of this lounge is it's designated area for spa. They offer services like reflexology and full body massage. Have done a post on this too previously with its prices here. The restrooms are awesome too as they come with shower and branded toiletries. They looked as good as those in the 5 star hotels!
And of course every lounge there has to be alcohol! Almost everyone whom pay Business Class tickets will have their fair share of liquor consumption! (just to make the journey & money worth!)

The lounge management always believe in creating a unique experience for everyone whom uses the lounge. They decide to do away with the usual champagne brand like Piper Heidsieck which they have been serving before this to Louis de Sacy, a boutique champagne. For those with a sweet palate, they also serve the Peller sparkling Icewine and some red and white wines which changes accordingly.
I was priviledged to be able to taste the alcohol selection and also have them as my clients. The lounge staff are so friendly and nice! It's the best place to have my meetings here!
The carrier has also moved to Heathrow’s T4 recently, and the newly rennovated lounge will offer business and first class passengers facilities based on the recently-opened regional lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).Wifi internet access, a business centre, showers and a nursery will all make an appearance in the new-style lounges, but the T4 area will not get spa facilities due to the difficulty in obtaining planning permission.

Heathrow will be the first to see the new lounge concept outside of Malaysia, with the facilities at Perth and Hong Kong airports also due for a revamp. Sorry I do not have the pictures of the new lounge in Heathrow but you can view the artists impression here.
