I was at the KL Tower on the 3oth November 2008 for Levi's Live Unbuttoned Bash with my sister and her friends. Since her friend, Ash, has a few tickets to spare, I tagged along. It was my second visit to KL Tower after almost a decade. It's really that long - serious. I have no whatsoever expectations of the party but I expect it to be happening since it's organised by Levi's, one of those hip and "fehmes" jeans label.
The party had started at about 7.30pm but we arrived at 9pm. There was a shuttle van to take us up to the towers from the foot of the hill. We didn't want to walk, so we took the shuttle. As we walked up to the venue, it was rather disappointing because we saw people leaving and the crowd was so small, I bet even the crowd at Laundry Bar is bigger than this. Estranged was up next and we stayed throughout their performance and then followed by a "beat box" performer from Singapore. I had forgotten about his name but he was great.
It was such a disappointment which I would not want to dwell further. The consolation to the event was, we headed to Luna Bar @ Pacific Regency Hotel Suites. It was also my second time there. That night, the five of us had a bottle of the Wyborowa Vodka which costs us RM403 including taxes, a better deal than paying cover of RM50 each (inclusive of one drink). The booze is definitely expensive but the atmosphere and ambiance is worth it. The chicken wings we had was RM22 and the Four Cheese Pizza was RM30 - pretty decent prices.
Over there, we can have decent conversations without shouting through our lungs as well as lying down on the comfortable couch gazing at the sky & the tower. This is definitely a place to chill out and relax. My sister even suggested that her 21st Birthday bash be held here but the trouble is, who's paying the bill?!!!
