As I was ironing clothes (which has been stockpiled for 2 weeks), I received a twitter DM from Ciki asking me out for lunch at La Bodega in Bangsar. It's been some time already since we last met and since I'm free, why not? I still can't believe I have enough clothes to get me going for weeks without having to iron any. Two weeks of not ironing cost me 1 hour of ironing. Hmmph..
La Bodega at Jalan Telawi is quite a nice place to hang out. They have a cosy lounge area upstairs with couches and pillows. The other La Bodega which I like is at BSC. While waiting for the pretty lady, I ordered a jug of Sangria. It was Happy Hour and it's only RM50 a jug which both of us finished to the last drop. Everyone knows that sangria is always made of cheap or lousy wine that is camouflaged with fruits such as oranges, green apples and probably some grapefruit but it's kinda nice to drink it in the afternoons. It's chilled and fruity.
I was waiting so see Ciki's blonde hair but she didn't go blonde. *disappointed* But her new hair colour suits her tanned skin very well. We were talking non-stop for almost 2 hours, from football to finding a right partner for me. She was just telling me that they will be many football widows until the end of World Cup as the husbands are all glued to the TV. Oh well, if I could, I would too! I'm supporting Beargentina (represented by Celcom's cute blue bear) which stands for Argentina. They even have these cute bearigamy in the website to support the World Cup season. I managed to catch the first match between Argentina and Nigeria. Hopes are on Messi!!! But Heinze scored the first goal for the country.
Good food and nice legs...
Of course we did not just talk and eat nothing. Ciki ordered a breakfast set. Here at La Bodega, they serve the breakfast sets till 10.30pm. You can definitely have breakfast all day long! For me, I had a roast chicken with mashed potatoes. I did actually order the dish because of its mashed potatoes as I'm a sucker for everything potatoes. That's my weakness. Well, the whole dish turned out to be very nice and I'm happy!! The whole carbo and fat I just absorbed was worth it.
After that, I adjourned to some shopping at Bangsar Village alone. I dotted from Zara to Aldo and lastly at Massimo Dutti. I was so proud of myself that I came out empty handed. If I hadn't do that, I'm sure my bill is easily RM1k because I knew what I wanted to buy!!!
Ok, that's my Sunday story.
