Not many people knew the existence of Dubai Outlet Mall. A survey was done in Dubai and only 1% of the people preferred to shop in this mall compared to 30% who voted for Mall of the Emirates (the one that with Dubai Ski). You see, this outlet mall is like Factory Outlet Store (FOS) in Malaysia with the exception that the whole mall is on sale and not just one outlet.
Here, you can find shoes, clothes, accessories, electrical items, home items and sports equipment at a discounted price. Most importantly, the outlets here are of big brand names where they sell out of season wear for a lower price. Brands that you can find here are like Salvatore Ferragamo, Aigner, Roberto Cavali, Escada, Givenchy, Dior, Gucci, Tods, Jean Paul Gaultier, Bebe, Ted Baker, Vera Wang, Miu Miu, Prada, Chloe, Bershka, Pull & Bear, Guess, MNG, Massimo Dutti and an endless label list. There is even a shop with everything converse which is big and all shoes are at DHS100 only! Must be a heaven for converse fans.
The prices are more than a 50% discount off normal retail prices but you will have to scout around yourself. Most of the outlets sell a few brands or sometimes up to 10 different brands. It's like spending hours in a store to find your favourite piece and label if I were to describe the experience I get here. I like it. You'll never know what designer label you'll find through the racks and racks of clothes here. Prices range from a few hundreds to thousands for big labels and ten bucks to hundreds for small labels like MNG. Can you believe that I can find Aldo shoes costing less than RM100 here?!!
I was here twice, once with my colleagues and one time with my mum. The small van driver whom took my colleagues and me here cost us DHS300 for a return trip since the driver said it was out of the way. I felt cheated. It was only a 25mins ride from Bur Dubai (oldtown) which should be less than that for 8 people. The first time we were there, my colleague and I couldn't shop enough. We browse from outlet to outlet and with only 3-4 hours there, we only managed to cover less than 10 outlets. But we did had an orgasmic ice-cream experience at Cold Stone Creamery. Watch the video and you'll know why.

What is so special about this ice-cream is that they scooped the ice-cream onto a marble top and then mix it with some toppings and chocolate. After that, they will tossed the ice-cream around before tossing it into a cup. The guy knowing the I was filming the whole process, he tossed the ice-cream to his friend behind whom is getting ready to catch the scoop just to show off. It was spectacular. I wonder how many hundred times they have practiced to be able to do that. Well, the price you pay for that scoop is no small amount. I paid DHS16 for one scoop which is much more expensive than Haagen Daz. Besides Cold Stone, there's also one very nice Iranian Restaurant which I liked so much so that I have been eating there twice already.
I shall upload the pictures later as it's midnight now and I am very sleepy thanks to the new noob driver that my dad company has hired. He doesn't speak english and doesn't recognize roads. A trip to Abu Dhabi Mall which takes less than 30 mins took him more than that and on the way back, he lost his way and we ended up circling around for 1 hour before reaching home. If I need to use him again, I bet I will loose my temper. For the first time here, I did not buy anything from the mall today. The mall is small, about 1 and a half times of Subang Parade and I covered the whole mall in just 1 hour. Although the mall is small, it has Tiffany&Co, Rolex, MNG and other big brands.
