Ouch! Beauty Hurts.....

Who says being beautiful is easy?
Who says a beauty regime is cheap?
And who dare says beauty is always natural?

While beauty can come in many different ways, it can also hurt in many different places. I am not talking about plastic surgery or am I having thoughts to try it (although I might think of going for breast enlargement if its #1 not that expensive 2# no leaks guaranteed 3# it feels natural). Ok, I was just giving an example. Please do not ask me whether I have one if you spot me having a nice cleavage one day. On second thought, I think I wouldn't ever get one.

But I don't mind a waxing job.

I have this very weird habit of constantly trying to get rid of hairs on my body (except the hair on my head of course). Sometimes it's so sickening to have hair growing everyday. On average, the hair on our scalp grows 1mm a day as compared to pubic hair growing at 0.35mm a day. Therefore, it's a gruesome routine to get rid of hairs because no matter how often you try to get rid of them, they never stop growing! Maybe I sounded a little bit obsessed about depilation but ask any girl, whom isn't?!!

For a start, to look like her, not only you need to wax off your underarms, your thighs, hands, your bikini line and also you know where...(hair of the peri-anal area and labia) so that the hair doesn't stick out (ok, I can't help but to laugh). See, told you beauty doesn't come easy. And you guys thought it's putting on a two piece swimsuit is like putting on your swimming trunks.

Depilatory for underarms and thighs are very common but how about having a Brazilian wax job? Where can we go to? I'm not just referring to ladies, but I have heard from the beauty centre that guys go there too to ahemm...ahem..... remove hairs from you-know-where. There's this outlet called "Glitters Nails & Waxing Salon" where you can get a manicure, pedicure, eye lash extension, and all the waxing job you'll need.

The first visit might be an awkward one if you haven't try before but subsequent visits should feel better since you've already known the lady whom is doing the waxing job for you. For a start, you can call the outlet to make a booking. Pre-booking is advisable to make sure that the person who's doing the Brazilian wax is available. Then, if you're asked what wax job you would like, you can always refer to the website where they indicate the levels of waxing with "X". The more Xs, the more hair is removed and of course the more expensive it would be. Prices range from RM90-120 for a Brazilian wax if I'm not wrong. They have a choice of standard wax or a natural wax.

You can also choose from the few waxing styles they have. If you have your own design, you might want to ask them in advance whether is it possible. I can't help but to laugh at the men's waxing styles! I would prefer something kinky like maybe a heart shape or a lollipop but maybe that's for next time.

Two types of wax is used. The sticky wax is for the labia where the skin is less sensitive. However, for the hair from the middle labia and all the way to the butt, it would be very painful because the area is sensitive and thus the use of hot wax. After the hot wax is applied, a thin film is used to stick on the wax and after it had cooled down, the whole strip is peeled off in a fast action. Ouch... it was like the most painful depilation I had experienced. You see, I experienced no pain even from tweezing hair from my underarms or thighs but that waxing of that spot there really is something. It's nothing to be afraid of. The pain is only for a second and after that it's nothing. After that a hair reducing lotion is applied on the area to prevent the rate of the hair growth.

The room is clean and new wooden spatulas are used everytime they dip it into the wax and thus you can be assured of the cleanliness. After the first visit, the subsequent visits are given discount (10% on 2nd visit, 20% on 3rd visit and so on). The waxing regime can be done monthly. If it's the first time, the whole process will take about 45mins and subsequent visits would be shorter maybe like about 30 mins. Sorry, I didn't really time it. There's nothing to be shy about if you want to look good and feel good. After all, it feels like a visit to a gynaecologist. Don't be afraid to spread your legs as the lady is very professional.
