I've been to Petaling Street for a couple of years and being a Malaysian, I've never ever taken a photo with our infamous street, famous for the wrong reasons of course. From fake LVs to your Adidas shoes, you name it, they have it. It was indeed a good day today as Yiling and me decided to head down to Petaling Street for some reasons which will be unveiled in later paragraphs.
Acting like a typical tourist taking pictures with the entrance.
For a start, we needed to eat. It's almost 11am and we haven't had anything since waking up a few hours ago. Yiling suggested a bowl of satisfying porridge at Hon Kee Famous Porridge stall, which is situated at a corner street facing Hong Leong Bank. They have raw fish porridge, pork porridge and also century eggs porridge.
We both had the raw fish porridge. Surprisingly, we just had porridge for dinner yesterday and we are not sicked of it yet. To go with our heavenly porridge, we had the "char cheong" which is fried pig's intestines. It was good. We were such gluttons that when we were having the porridge, we were thinking of the "chee cheong fun" next door and Yiling went and tapau it for lunch later!
I was really enjoying my bowl of porridge when I felt something in between my teeth. I thought it was the fish bone but to my horror, it was actually a piece of metal. It was like those metal that came off from the metal scrub for pots! Eeewww... After that I couldn't continue eating it anymore. I told the boss and all he could say was "oh. sorry." That's it?!! I can die from food poisoning and swallowing that piece of shit and all you can say was that 2 words?!! I was really disappointed and angry. At least he would have given me a discount or another bowl for me but he didn't (not that I am greedy but I felt cheated). I paid RM18 for that meal and it wasn't cheap. Well, that's besides the question - it's wrong in principle to be serving food that's not safe for consumption and dirty! How can they act like this, as if it's something common. Maybe it is.
And about my new found love, nope I'm not talking about human beings. I'm talking about my newfound interest in making earrings. That was the purpose of the visit to PS today. I wanted to get my supplies of earrings making there but sadly, all the accessories wholesale shops are closed except one where I managed to get everything I need for a start. I have no idea how to make them, but I managed to get some help from my sister and the salesgirl in choosing the beads, rings, hooks and connectors that a simple pair of earrings would need.

I splurged RM200 here. More expensive than my Zara skirt.
Anyone want to marry me?!!So I can proudly say that Eiling does have quite a number of skills after all. I shall do the honour of listing 'em:
- I can drink (I'm not talking about water)!
- I can party (that's a skill).
- I can cook (means potentially a good housewife).
- I can belly dance (to spice things up in the bedroom).
- I can play gu-zheng (to lull you to sleep).
- I can work (I have a career you know?!!).
- I can eat (definitely not an anorexic person).
- I can talk (nonsense and politics).
- I can wear 3-4 inches heels and run in 'em (it's definitely a skill!).
- Latest addition: I can make earrings!!!
The only one skill I can't master is to SING. Oh god, why can't you make me sing?!! I avoid going to karaoke to avoid embarrasment. So now you know and don't invite me to any red box, green box or neway outings ok?!!
This is my first ever creation:
