The wait is over....

I've been flying and trying for the past few months... It has been such a long wait. There were so many hiccups and phone calls and emails have been flying around. And finally, it's in my mailbox. The wait is over!

Hello SILVER and bye bye BLUE!

I've been talking about my Malaysian Airlines Enrich card which is a loyalty program for frequent flyers. Since I've been traveling quite a lot, I have been accumulating miles for every flight I take and due to some missing miles that was not credited to me last year, it took sometime for me to be qualified for the upgrade to SILVER status. Finally, the miles have been credited and I managed to earn 26000 Elite miles last year.



The Silver card holders will enjoy a few priviledges like priority check in counters at Business Class counters eventhough traveling on Economy. There's also priority for seats on a fully booked flight or waiting list. There's also an additional 5kg for baggage and also an extra 25% Elite miles earnings.

In order to maintain this SILVER status, I would actually need to at least accumulate another 25000 Elite miles and 40 Elite sectors in one year. That translates to 40 flights a year or easier if you're on Business class flights. And for me to be upgraded to GOLD, I'll need 50000 Elite miles and 80 sectors.

Now I'm at 10591 Elite Miles and 21 sectors. Looks like I am at least going to maintain my Silver status for this year. Hopefully the GOLD can come true!!
