I did something special on my birthday. The day before, I was having some good food at Bavarian Bierhaus at the Curve. It's just behind TGI Fridays and you can get to the outlet through Big Apple and Eden. The outlet is quite hidden from the main street view but it's a hidden gem. The outlet serves good German food like my favourite pork knuckle and bratwurst to go with German lager or Kölsch. We had a Mixed Combo of bratwurst and pork knuckle. The portions are big so it's ideal if you plan to share.
The food is good. Commendable but the prices are a bit on the high side but if it's once in a blue moon meal, it's fine. We had two dishes and 4 drinks which cost about RM180. Later that night, we (Hue Gee, Hong Luan and me) hit the club with Greg. It was supposed to be Greg's friend's friend's birthday (confused?nevermind) but he dragged me along because he knew no one except one guy. So I dragged my 2 girlfriends along because I can foresee that I'll be bored to death. Scarlet on Friday plays crappy tranz after past 11.00pm. It was a Funkyou Friday but I say F*ck you Friday @ Scarlet. No I did not pick up any guys that night. No one is worthy of my attention. What happened to the quality (the ones that makes intelligent conversations and intellectually sexy) ones? Which club do you party? If it's possible, I would want to start a class on how to pick up girls and how to please them!
That night was the first time I controlled my intake of liquor. I only had 3 glasses of Hennessey. After what had happened on the 23rd of last month, I had a phobia of going through the purging and stomachache with headache after-effect. And to top it up, after the 3 drinks, I stopped and I never felt so alert before walking out of a club. My friend was of course laughing at me because apparently I told him that I retired from drinking more than a few glasses now. Haha... I can't believe it either.
The next day, I dragged myself to work. I had so much work and no amount of work can be completed in a day! After the clock struck 1pm, I rushed home and had a light lunch because later I had a date with a yacht at the Royal Selangor Yacht Club. That was my virgin visit on a yacht. The Puteri Samudera yacht was apparently one of the many yachts owned by the Sultan of Selangor.
See how excited I am?!!
The ride takes about 3-4 hours. We passed by North & South port and then the captain make a U-turn in front of Pulau Ketam. The first 2 hours, we kept on taking pictures and enjoying the sea breeze but the last one hour, I dozed off on the couch in the lower deck. The sea was calm but it was drizzling. However, the water drizzles make the weather cooler so it's a nice cruise along the coast. We had wine, some mandarin oranges and BANANAS on the yacht!
A pose fit for the mag

It was a nice cruising day on my birthday. I did not celebrate on the yacht because the aunties & uncles didn't know about my birthday and I also wouldn't want them to know. Later that night we had a good seafood meal before heading home. It was indeed a memorable experience.

Thanks to Hue Gee, Wan Hoong, Hong Luan and Greg on Friday and Calvin who took me to Vincenzo at One Bangsar on Sunday night for such a great Italian dinner and the special birthday song arrangements. And of course the biggest thanks will go to you LKC. I had a wonderful time and thanks for the lovely presents which I'll be using everyday.
