C- For Yourself Part I

That was the tagline for the launching of the Mercedes Benz C Class on last Friday. my friend has invited me to join him in the launching event at APAC (some Auction Centre) near the Subang Airport. Being my first time at a car launching event, I was quite enthusiastic and excited to attend. Feeling like a "jakun" I tried my best to content my excitement.

We arrived to the entrance and was greeted by the "C - for yourself" tagline projected over the wall of the building. There were many expensive and posh cars parked outside.... When I entered the building, 2 old version of the Mercedes Benz C Class greeted us and not to forget 2 beautiful ladies standing by the side wearing beautiful blue halter neck dresses. i wonder how much they are paid just to stand there and smile. After registration, we entered through a tunnel to get to the main hall. In that tunnel, we are greeted with lots of advertisements like Chivas Regal, Sony and blah blah blah....great strategy, co branding with Mercedes and making use of every event to get noticed! The hall looks great and the greatest thing of all - FREE BOOZE!!! They had Heineken, Chivas, Wine and Champagne!!! ooh la la...I'm in heaven....

Overall, the event has been quite entertaining. There's a girl playing the harp, beautiful models parading, opera singer and also acrobatic girls doing stunts like climbing up and hanging on a cloth without the help of any equipments. Basically, I get to see a fashion show, concert and Royal London Circus all in one night under one roof! How cool was that and it comes with free flow of food and booze. I had my 4th bottle of Heineken and I retired for the night. I met some nice people too so it's not too bad.
